Food, Glorious Food!
Several new food options will be available this year up and down Main St. There will be the traditional St John’s blueberry cobbler, the Boy Scouts’ apple cider donuts, the Hilltown Snowmobile Club’s Kielbasa grinders, corn chowder and sandwiches in the Congregational Church, Ashfield Rod and Gun Club chili, fried dough by Elmer’s Community Center, and apple pie with cheese at Town Hall. More food will be found at Elmer’s, The Community Hall and The Ashfield Hardware Store, including fried dough with maple cream. Bring your appetites.
The Fall Festival is seeking additional food vendors, though any vendors may apply, for Lower Town Hall spaces. We currently have Chili, Cotton Candy, and Apple Pie, with or without Cheddar Cheese. Ashfielders, and those with ties to Ashfield, may ask questions and apply by emailing or calling Elizabeth Gray at ElizabethJTGray@gmail.com.
Remember to bring a refillable water bottle and shopping bag to help reduce the use of single use plastics. There will be a water bottle filling station available, and organizations will be selling reusable water bottles and shopping bags.
